Anna Wintour as Art

 

Alex Katz es uno de los artistas pop de referencia en Estado Unidos.

Acostumbrado a ver los ojos de Wintour tras unas gafas de sol, quedó sorprendido por su intensa mirada y le ofreció la posibilidad de retratarla para una futura exhibición en la National Portrait Gallery en Londres.


Se trata del primer retrato que permite Anna Wintour y ella ha comentado que disfrutó posando con el artista y se sorprendió por el interesante uso del color de Katz.
La obra verá la luz el próximo 15 de Mayo.

Alex Katz is one of the reference pop artists in America. Accustomed to seeing the eyes of Wintour behind sunglasses, he was surprised by his intense gaze and offered the opportunity to portray a future exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in London.
 
This is the first portrait that allows Anna Wintour and commented that she enjoyed posing with the artist and was surprised by the interesting use of color Katz. The work will see the light on 15 May.
